Hey Everyone

Its been awhile since I have sent everyone an email, so I thought it was about time I catch you all up!!

Ok so the last time I wrote I was about to go overseas and was also awaiting the imminent arrival of my new niece or nephew, so I guess we should start with that!

Firstly I should announce the arrival of my newest nephew!!

My older sister Jana gave birth to her second child, 4 months ago, his name is Ryan Daniel and he is just gorgeous!!

His arrival was not easy, Jana was in labour for 18 hours, worse still for her at 9pd 11oz he was not a little baby!!! But he is healthy and happy and progressing well!!

Best of all he was a very considerate boy and waited until 4 days after his Aunty Erin got back from overseas to make his entrance! I was worried the whole time I would miss it, but I didn’t, I was even lucky enough to be in the birthing suite just minutes after he was born!! Here are some pictures of my beautiful boy!!

My other exciting news is my fantastic trip overseas!! I have never had so much fun in my life, it was so great doing something for myself, though I do have to say thank god I went with such a great group of friends, it wouldn’t have been the same without them!!!

Vancouver was first…all I can say is thank god it was so beautiful, cause if it hadn’t been so amazing I don’t think the plane trip would have been worth it!!! It was almost 24 hours between our leaving for SyndneyAirport and our arrival at our hotel in Van!! But as soon as we got there it was worth it!! It is truly one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, it reminded me of a mix of Sydney and Melbourne but with way better surroundings, these beautiful snow covered mountains, they were amazing and certainly make the city special!!!

I am embarrassed to say that our first day in Van was spent sleeping, as much as Chloe and I had promised ourselves that we would stay awake we just couldn’t, so we showered then slept (not before checking out the TV situation though…Chloe was most impressed to find Stargate on TV within 5 minutes of arriving in Van lol), unfortunately we really should have stayed awake that day as we slept through the last day of sunshine for over a wk!! After quite a few hours sleep (and constant resetting of our alarm clocks) we set out in search of our friends and well…food!! We of course found the food first, the afternoon bought introductions to both Tim Hortons (the best donuts on the planet) and A & W (the most fantastic burgers and fries ever)!!

We soon found ourselves back at the hotel where after a good nights sleep we were ready to really see Vancouver!!!

Luckily we had a native to give us a tour…after much anticipation we were finally able to meet our friend Mavis in the flesh!! After over a years worth of conversations via the internet it was so great to meet her, and as promised she took us Ice Skating! None of us Aussies had been Ice Skating in a long time so we were all a bit wobbly but it was so much fun and luckily not one of us fell!!

That evening we had one of our best Canadian experiences by far when we attended a NHL match between the Vancouver Canucks and the Predators! It was so amazing to see, these guys are such fantastic athletes and the game was just amazing…though a lot quieter then an Aussie sporting match, in this stadium of like 35 000 people at some points you could have heard crickets chirping! It was still amazing though and Vancouver won which was even better!!

While the hockey itself was amazing enough it got even better at the end of the second period, I went for a walk to go to the bathroom and as I’m walking along Aaron Douglas (an amazing Canadian actor who I have been in love with for years he plays the Chief in BSG) walked right past me!! So after a couple of seconds hesitation I went over and started chatting to him, it was amazing he wanted to talk about Australia and what I was doing in Van etc so after about five minutes I said something about wishing I had my camera with me (it was back at the seat) and he was like oh where are you sitting? I was two sections down from where he was so he said “at the end of the game meet me back here and we will take some pictures, oh and I also have Ryan Robbins (Connor in BSG/Laydon in SGA) and Dan Payne (SG-1/SGA) with me!!” So true to his word he Dan and Ryan met Chloe, Nicole and I at the end of the game and took photos, before chatting for about ½ hour!! It was so much fun!!

The next day was one of our most activity filled and included not only finally getting to meet the frenchies (Sab and Jess) in person but also our first trip to Bridge Studios, where we were lucky enough to meet a huge number of both cast and crew of Stargate Atlantis!

it was about 4°C and raining the whole time we were at Bridge, but it was so worth standing in it for about 3 hours!!

Meeting David Hewlett (McKay in SGA) was probably the highlight, however I think our most embarrassing moment was when Rachel saw us and the first thing she said was “Are you girls drunk yet?” seems we made quite the impression on her last time we met lol.

We were also lucky enough to have quite a long chat with Joe Mallozzi (Writer and Executive Producer) Martin Gero (Writer) and Ivon Bartok (Special Features Producer).

After a few hours of standing in the freezing cold and by this stage absolutely saturated we went back to Sab and Jess’ house to hang out and watch some of their latest work!! They are great filmmakers and their work was awesome!!

That night we went to dinner with the guys we met the night before at the hockey (minus Aaron who had to go to Seattle for work) as well as numerous others, they included James “Bam Bam” Bamford (Stunt Co-ordinator for SGA) and Lani one of his stunt girls, Rainbow (Ford in SGA), Damien Kindler (Writer SG-1/SGA) and Chelya (SG-1/SGA).

It was such a great night we had so much fun and took way to many photos, after dinner we proceeded back to Laura’s hotel and continued the party there!!

Over the weekend was the convention that we attended, I won’t start writing about it cause there is way to much information!! We had such a great time though, it was amazing especially the set tour it was unbelievable we were liking kids running around on Christmas morning, there was so much to see and play with!!! It was so unbelievable after 10 years of watching these two shoes to be sitting at the same desk Torri sits at or touching the phone in the elevator that Richard Dean Anderson touched!!! It was absolutely one of the most amazing experiences of my life and was over far to quickly!!!

Over the weekend we also met an amazing array of cast and crew and we made heaps of new friends!!!!

After a long and fun filled weekend we needed the Monday to recover so spent the day hanging out with Sab, Jess and Kirsten. We also spent quite bit of time shopping almost buying out the HMV superstore between the five of us!!

We were also lucky enough to get a bit of sun while we were at the beach!!

Over the next few days we did quite a bit of sight seeing including a trip to CapilanoBridge, one of the world’s largest suspension bridges, it was beautiful set in the mountains it was a sight to see!

I was also lucky enough to spend one day on my own exploring Vancouver’s version of central park, StanleyPark. It was beautiful I visited the aquarium in the park and some of the animals were amazing!! Especially the Beluga Whales!

After Vancouver Chloe and I stopped in Hawaii on the way home. While it was an amazing place and I’m glad I can say I’ve visited I don’t know that I would go again. We stayed in WaikikiBeach which is the main tourist area and it was just so incredibly busy. But it was a great place to relax, we spent a few days at the beach as well as a great day shopping at the a huge outlet centre.

I think the highlights of our stay there though was the luau that we attended, it was great fun the food was great, the show was fantastic and there were lots of activities etc.

The other highlight of Hawaii was a trip to Kualoa Ranch, a working farm that is quite often used for filming movies and TV shows including Lost, JurassicPark, PearlHarbour, 50 First Dates and many others. It was just beautiful and we were lucky enough to go horse riding as well as ATV (four-wheel Bike) riding! It was amazing!!

Anyway I think this has gone on for more then enough pages now if you are still reading I applaud you lol!!

As for the rest of my life, not much interesting is happening, I finished up my job at Baker, Payne and Webb and have started a new job at Taree City Council as a Stormwater Project Officer, I am loving it it is so interesting!!

Thankfully though this new job is a 12 month contract so I intend to work it and save enough money to move at the end of it all!!

Ok I think it’s finally time I actually sit down and write an LJ entry!!!! Well where do I start? So much has happened since I last actually wrote an entry; I guess I should probably start with my trip to Darwin as it has to be the most exciting thing that has happened in the last few months!

Well Nan, Sara and I flew out of Sydney Airport on 22nd July, it was a one hour flight to Brisbane, followed by sitting at Brissie airport for about 3 hours before a five hour flight to Darwin, when we finally arrived it was like 1.30 in the morning so we quickly showered got into our jammies and went to bed exhausted!!!

The following morning mum (who was already in Darwin for a few days before we got there) came and got us out of bed nice and early (I'm talking 630 am after we had only gotten in at 130 I was ready to kill her!!!) so we could explore the city together as she didn’t have any games that day!!

So we went and hired a car so we could drive ourselves around and off we went exploring. To begin with we just drove around the city itself; it is totally different to any other city in Australia!! A lot of it I think has to do with the fact that all the buildings are very modern, having been rebuilt after first the war and then Tracey had destroyed all the previous buildings. It’s also a lot less busy then our other cities, it was very beautiful though!! One of the worst things though was the heat! I mean it was the middle of winter and the temp was in the high 30s! Plus don’t even get me started on the humidity…of course those temps aren’t exactly unusual us Aussies are very used to that and worse…just not in the middle of winter!!

Anyway in the afternoon we went to the WWII oil storage tunnels, these things were amazing they were built after 11 above ground oil storage areas were destroyed in the first Darwin bombing, so in 1942 it was decided that future storage should take place underground to prevent it happening again. The interesting thing is that it was not announced publicly that this would be happening so the tunnels were constructed entirely by hand using picks and shovels! The total cost of building the tunnels was 1 087 808 pounds!!! The problem was by the time they were finished the war was over, so the tunnels were never used!! Ahh you gotta love our government!!! After the tunnels we explored the Stokes Hill wharf which is a working port (in fact there was a Navy ship come in while we were there, lots of yummy sailors to look at lol). We finally went back to the hotel and had a little nap before heading to the Mindil Beach Markets, these markets are run every Thursday and Sunday nights on the beach… it was great fun looking around all the stalls and watching the sunset on the beach!!

On Monday 23rd July Nan, Sara and I were booked to go on a bus tour of Kakadu National Park, the biggest National Park in Australia!! We were all very excited so we all got up early…unfortunately it didn’t take us as long as we thought it would to get ready so by 6.05 we were ready for our 6.30 pick up, so at 6.10 we went and stood out the front waiting for our bus to get there…when it hadn’t shown up by 6.55 we knew there was a problem, so we rang the company and found out that the bus had actually been there at 6, not 6.30 like our paperwork said!!! So we had missed the trip…luckily they were able to book us on the trip for the Wednesday instead but as you can imagine we were pissed!!! Especially since we had all been up early and were ready at the time the bus was actually there!!!

So after much debate we decided that Nan, Sara and I would spend the morning at Crocodylus Park, a working crocodile park. For any of you who may be fans of the Amazing Race in the latest series this is the park where the hippies had to hop into the pit with the crocodiles to collect the next clue!! The park itself was quite interesting though the tour went on a bit long and with the heat it was a bit much for Nan so we didn’t stay right till the end, but we did get to see the jumping crocodiles which are an amazing site. They also had a fair few other animals at the park including many Australian natives, a large array of monkeys and some big cats. The tigers were an amazing site as one of them was eating right up against the plexiglass; you were literally 10 cms away from this tiger as it was eating!!!!

In the afternoon we went to the hockey fields to watch Mum play, unfortunately we lost (an ongoing theme for the competition lol) but we played a good game anyway…especially because hockey is a winter sport here so none of the women were really used to playing in the extreme heat except maybe the NT girls.

Tuesday was one of the best days we had the whole trip! Mum had a game free day so we drove down to Litchfield National Park, while not as big as Kakadu in a lot of ways I thought it was more spectacular!! The whole place was just beautiful; it is such a different landscape, until you have seen it you can’t even imagine it! I have been to a lot of places in Australia but this was in a league all of its own! Luckily there had been a big wet last year so there was a lot more water then there usually is in July, so all the falls were flowing, we visited most of them, unfortunately we couldn’t really do the walks to the bottom of any of them as I would have liked to, but there was no way that Nan could have done it so instead we just visited the viewing platforms and things like that, but even just doing that was spectacular. The other great thing is that there isn’t many crocodiles in Litchfield and so there is designated swimming holes, they are monitored each morning to make sure there is def no crocs but you still don’t feel 100% safe LOL, however with the heat of the day a swim was def on the cards, I went swimming at 2 of the places we stopped and it was glorious!!

While in Litchfield we also stopped at the termite mounds…these were just bizarre, there were several different types of mounds made by different species of termites, the cathedral mounds are the ones that are most common all around Australia but the ones that really struck me were the magnetic mounds, they are called that because they are always built with an alignment that matches with the earths magnetic N-S alignment! That in itself is amazing but they were also weird because they were all built in a field and it just looked like this enormous graveyard!!!

Tuesday was I think my favourite day up north, it was good because it was just the four of us exploring and while it was busy at a few of the sites there weren’t 1000’s of tourists around…something I didn’t truly appreciate till the next day at Kakadu.

On the Wednesday morning we were up even earlier then we had been on the Monday morning, by 5.50am we were standing out front waiting for the bus to arrive…there was no way we were going to miss it this time!! At 6 on the dot the bus turned up and after picking up the other passengers we were dropped at the bus depot. There were several tours going that day one to Kakadu and one to Katherine. After finding which bus we needed to be on we found a seat and were soon on our way for the 2 hour drive to Kakadu. We were lucky enough to have a female bus driver on our tour and she was an absolute hoot!!! She really helped make the day, she started the tour by introducing herself and then asking us if we were all looking forward to our day in Katherine, after a chorus of “NO!!” and a lot of panicked passengers she says “Why not who’s on the wrong bus? Shit it must be me again!!” and so it went the whole day she was hilarious…and also very smart she liked to play the bogan but at one of the stops I had quite a chat with her about the aboriginal community in and around Darwin and the role they now play in the national park system, it was very interesting!

Anyway it was quite a way to actually get into Kakadu but when we finally arrived it was just astounding, I have wanted to go to Kakadu my whole life and when I finally got there it was just as beautiful as I imagined…there was just one downside, it seemed everyone else wanted to visit Kakadu too!! There was just tourists everywhere, every time we stopped somewhere there was at least 12 other coaches there, plus the people that were driving themselves around, it was just stupid I mean here it is supposed to be this isolated natural wonder and instead it was just a tourist city!!! So on that side of things I was very disappointed and while it was frustrating it couldn’t take away from the beauty that is Kakadu!! One of the highlights of the day was a trip aboard a boat on the wetlands called the “Yellow Waters Cruise” The wetlands had more water then they usually do at this time of year so the bird life was extraordinary, plus we saw about 50 crocs in the hour we were on the boat…that was a bit scary seeing these huge animals that you know could destroy the dinghy you are in if they really wanted to!!! But for the most part they were happy just to sit in the sun and show off, there was really only one that gave us a bit of a scare by waiting until we stopped in a cove and then taking off under the boat…I'm not sure where he went, I was actually quite happy that he didn’t resurface, especially as I was standing up at the front of the boat taking pictures at the time he decided to come right at us lol.

We also visited quite a few aboriginal artwork sites. These were beautiful, very different to some of the other sites I have seen in the outback!

At the end of the day Kakadu was breathtaking even with all the tourists but I would def like to go back one day and explore it properly, actually do it myself in a 4WD and go to all the places the tourist buses can’t go, then I think I could really appreciate it!!

By the time we got back to Darwin it was almost nine at night and we were all exhausted, Nan especially, while she enjoyed it I think it may have been a bit much for her. When we got back to the hotel we packed ready for the 130 am flight back to Sydney, thank god we were only stopped in Brissie for 45mins this time round, but by the time we were picked up at the airport and drove back to Camden I was about ready to pass out, I ended up getting back to Nan's and sleeping for about 5 hrs!!! But the trip while short was most certainly worth it!!!

The main reason we went though was for Mum's hockey, so it was disapointing we only saw one game, she really enjoyed it though...even though they came 7th (for those who don't know Australia only has 5 states and 2 territories so that puts them in last place lol)

Well after reading that I’m sure you are all thoroughly bored!! So I wont write to much more…though I do have lots more news but I guess it can wait lol.

I will be writing another entry in a few wks though!!! Because as I write this there is only 12 days to go till the Rachel con!!! We are all getting so excited, mostly because it means we will all get to see each other and spend a bit of time together, Pres is flying in from Brissie on the Wednesday and spending a few days with Nan and I before we go into the city on Friday and meet up with Sapph and Lex at the hotel to spend the day getting ourselves all pretty for the Friday night dinner!! I’m sure this will then be followed with not wanting to get up on Saturday morning because we will be to hung over, but we will just have to live through the pain I guess lol, I’m sure once we get to the actual con we will be to excited to care anyway lol.

Me I’m just looking forward to a few days of work…but that’s a whole other kettle of fish, and I don’t want to bore you all with that.

Oh the only other thing I must mention in this is that I am now officially going to Vancouver in March!!! I was always planning to go but figured I would get through October and then work everything out, but the tickets started to sell pretty quick so Pres and I bought tickets a few weeks ago, thank god for my new credit card or else I couldn’t have done it lol. But I am just so excited I don’t care if I have to rob a bank to get there!!!

Well I’ll rap this up, hope everyone is happy and well, I miss you all but with work the way it is at the moment as well as the fact by the time I go to the gym and don’t get home till 8 at night I don’t really have time for the net anymore, I will try to make more of an effort though I promise because I really do miss you all!!

Ok man i miss the internet!!! Im at sapphs house at the moment and we have been having a great time!!! Its been so much fun to actually look at stuff on the net and talk to people I havent talked to in ages!!!!

However it also gave us a lot of time to watch Gate and ive discovered that this is what happens when you leave Sapph and I alone with copious amounts of chocolate, Coke and Stargate!!!

We end up creating extremly inappropriate sigs lol

Ok yes I do realize how incredibly long it has been since I wrote an entry, but life has been completely insane of late!!! In the past 5 weeks I have only had 4 days of work!!! I'm not used to working so hard lol, but because I have been so busy I haven't had time to even write up an entry about Darwin yet, so I will try to get on that in the next wk or so!!!

Other then work not much is going on, I've been frantically saving for October Con, which is now only FOUR WEEKS AWAY!!!! I am so looking forward to it, it will be great to have a bit of time off, plus getting to see dr_schweir
and sapphs again is going to be so great!!! I can't wait to just hang with them at the hotel and spend the whole day getting all pretty!!! In some ways I’m actually more excited about that then meeting Rachel, David and Tony!!!

I am also going to Sydney this weekend to hang out with sapphs and go dress shopping for the con dinner!!! That should be lots of fun!!!!

Well this is going to have to be a quick entry as I am actually at work at the moment, but hopefully I will get to actually sit down and write a proper entry!!!

To everyone I haven't spoken to in a while I'm so sorry and I really miss you all so much!!! muldy I miss our long chats so much!!! I hope I get to talk to you soon, whats this I hear about you moving to Whistler???

Wow it has been ages...yet again lol, I actually wrote the following entry before I went away but never got around to posting it! It's my account of the visit by dr_schweir and sapphs So here it is enjoy...

Ok so it’s been ages since I have updated, but at least this time it’s not just because I’m lazy lol, it’s actually because I have been without the internet which has basically been killing me but hopefully I should have it back soon!

I really wanted to write this entry though because I have so many things to catch people up with; it’s been a big week or so!!!

I start on Saturday 9^th and move on from there!

Saturday 8th^: I finally got to see Pirates of the Caribbean II and while it was quite good, it was no where near as good as the first one, it was nice though because I went and saw it with Mum, Dad and Sara which was good because we haven’t done something like that together in ages, afterwards we even went out to dinner so it was a nice little family outing!!

Sunday 9^th: After months and months of anticipation and 6 hour phone conversation Dr_Schweir finally came down from Brissie to visit!! It was so exciting, all day long I was a bit nervous about meeting her but when we finally went to the station to pick her up it was great!!! We went home and had a absolutely beautiful Baked Dinner (you should feel very special Pres cause I couldn’t tell you the last time Mum cooked a baked dinner lol) we then set up the big screen and settled down to watch some Gate!!!

Monday 10^th: This was one of the best days Pres and I spent together, we drove out to Forster for the day and went shopping then sat and had coffee/Frappes, went to the beach and most importantly saw the Dolphins in the Bay, it was really beautiful and we had such a great time just hanging out!!! In the arvo we met up with my sister and my 2 year old nephew to go shopping. I wasn’t sure how Lochie would respond to Chloe but I didn’t need to worry cause within 20 minutes she was running around the story with him and he was loving it!!! By the end of the day he bypassed me so he could have cuddles with her!!!!!! Not that I minded he’s so cute I don’t know how anyone can resist him!!!

Tuesday 11^th : Today was the first of our lazy days, basically we sat on the lounge watching TV and making fun of MacGyver (stopping a sulphuric acid leak with Chocolate….only Mac lol) except of course for the walk we went on…to McDonalds!!!!! It was a great day though, even if we are both fatter for it lol

Wednesday 12^th: This was a big day, we got up early in the morning which sucked after being up half the night lol… we went shopping all around Taree in the morning then I took Pres out to lunch to the most beautiful restaurant in Taree called Raw Sugar, it is so beautiful there and the food is always great! For lunch we both started with the Pesto Bread…which may well be the best starter bread ever served at any restaurant ever!!!! We both then had what’s known as a “Cundle Burger” it’s a chicken burger named after a local suburb. It was awesome it had chicken, salad, guacamole and the most beautiful basil sauce all on Turkish Bread!! OMFG it was good, the problem was that we were both so incredibly full we basically didn’t eat for the rest of the day lol.

After lunch we were booked into donate blood, which turned out to be quite a fiasco!! I donated fine however Pres’ heart rate was way too high (she reckoned I had been stressing her out!!) so in the end she couldn’t donate!! We still had a great day though!!!!

Thursday 13^th : The second of our somewhat lazy days, we had to look after Ellie the one year old daughter of a friend of mine, so we pretty well had our hands full but when she was in bed we did what we do best…watch TV!!!

Friday 14^th: Today we had Lachlan for the day so we spent most of our time looking after him and once again watching more Hi-5 then any adult ever should!!!!

Saturday 15^th: Even though we had a great week together it was so great when the other girls came up over the weekend!!! Poor Sapphs got up way to early on Saturday morning in order to drive to Taree and after only one slight hiccup on the way arrived at my house just before lunch. We had such a great time catching up (although once again I was bypassed for Pres…hey Sapph!!!lol) then after lunch we once again set up the big screen and watched plenty of gate, we spent a couple of hours watching all the new BTS specials before actually moving onto some episodes…we were halfway through Window of Opportunity when we found out that Sapph hadn’t seen the end of season nine so of course we made her sit and watch it immediately!!! No matter what the rest of the season was like those last few eps are awesome and like the rest of us she really enjoyed them!!!

Then we went out to dinner and had the most fantastic time…for people that haven’t known each other that long we always get along so well and we had so many things to talk about…we also had a great dinner followed by a few cocktails and the mandatory KENO!! Unfortunately we didn’t win anything this time but it was sure worth a try!!!

We came home to watch yet more Gate but the problem was we kept getting halfway through episodes and then deciding we would rather watch a better episode!!! Plus Pres kept annoying me and stealing my blanket and we kept breaking into giggles especially during the letter writing incident (HAND-GYNA!!!! LMAO) so I think the other girls were having a bit of trouble getting us to shut up so they could actually watch the show lol. When we did finally settle down a bit we sat and watched Dickie Roberts cause the other girls hadn’t seen it, they thought it was hilarious which it is, we finally went to bed about 2, we though poor Sapph had better get some sleep otherwise we probably would have been up all night!!!

Sunday 16^th: The day started off rather late after certain people, who shall remain nameless, finally got out of bed! We decided to have Maccas for brekkie and only just made it lol we then went for a drive out to the beach and went for a bit of a walk and of course take the mandatory photos, before returning home and it was time for Sapph to leave. It was so sad seeing them go I wish we had more time to spend together but at least we had fun while we were together!!!!

In the afternoon after the girls were gone Mum, Dad, Pres, Lochie and I went for a drive out to Crowdy beach and went whale watching, it the short time we were there we saw at least 20 whales it was awesome, then we went for a walk along the break wall before returning home. Pres and I spent our last few hours together playing Disney Trivial Pursuit (of which I won both games!!!lol) then sadly it was time for Pres to get back on a train, it was so depressing… I missed her within in minutes and still do!!! I can’t wait till October!!!!!

Monday 17^th: Finally to top off an extremely busy and exciting week I started my new job on Monday, it’s so great I am really enjoying it and learning a lot!!!

So that’s my big week it was great, I would like to say such a huge thanks to both Sapphs and Dr_Schweir for coming to visit I miss you both terribly and can’t wait to see you again!!! BRING ON OCTOBER!!!!

I probably won’t be able to write again for a while because I am going away to Darwin next week as Mum is playing in the national Hockey tournament, but I’m sure I will have another good report when I get back!! Until then I love you all and hope to talk to you all soon!!!

Ok so its been awhile since I've updated but I have been so busy and then I got sick so I just haven't had time. So I'll start at the beginning and work my way through all the things that have happened!

Ok first of all and most important is that I FINALLY GOT A JOB!!!! I'm so excited, its not quite what I was looking for but its a job none the less. Its at an Optometrist called Baker, Payne and Webb!! Its a full time postion which is great cause the other things I've been doing at Perry Homes and Mooncorp have only been sporadic work! However it is only a maternity leave position so it will be for about 6-12 months which works great for me because it means I can save the money that I need to move to Canada and when its over I can leave straight away!! So things are finally looking up and everything is falling into place, if only it had all happened about 4 months ago!!! I knew this would happen though, I knew when I finally got an actual interview somwhere I would blow them away and get the job, the problem was that everyone was looking at my resume and going "she has no experience" so I couldn't even get an interview it was so frustrating!!! I mean what did they think that in sixteen years of schooling including three at university I didn't learn anything??? Anyway I guess it doesn't matter anymore cause I have something now and thats all that matters!!!!

In other news I am so excited because i am finally going to meet dr_shweir (aka Presley_Carter on most other forums)!!! It is so exciting even though we have never met we are such good friends, so now that she is on uni holidays she is finally coming down to Taree to spend an wk with me!!! I am so incredibly excited!!!! Best of all on the weekend the other girls sapphs and lexa are also coming to stay so you can imagine what sort of weekend we are going to have hanging around pigging out and watching a whole lot of Gate and BSG!!! I think somewhere in there we are also going to try to fit in some sightseeing around Taree but who knows lol!!!!

Finally in a couple of wks time I will also be going to Darwin for a week!!! Mum is playing in the National Hockey Competition so we are going along for a bit of support!!! We will also probably spend a few days sightseeing around Kakadu!!! I'm excited because the Northern Territory is one of the few places in Australia I haven't been so I can't wait to see it!!!!

Other then that I am still waiting for my TV week article to come out, a new magazine comes out tomorrow so hopefully it will be in that otherwise I will have to wait till next wk!!!!!

Ok so I had my interview earlier this morning, I think it went ok I don't think I said anything stupid lol, she mainly just wanted to know things like what sci-fi I liked, how I got into it, what conventions were like who I had met and who was my favourite etc etc. Hopefully it will be in the magazine in the next few weeks!!! Ok wow I have been without the net all week and I just got on and re-read my last couple of entries, i plead temporary insanity and the fact that it was one in the morning, lol it was a pretty great game though...now we just have to beat Brazil!!!

Ok so the wierdest thing happened today...

We have a magazine here in Australia called TV WEEK they basically cover all sorts of information regarding TV shows etc and just recently they added a section called "Child Star" where people can write in about if they were named after a TV star or character, now a little known fact about me (I only found out last yr myself LOL) is that I was named after Dad's favourite TV actress Erin Grey who played Wilma in "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century". So I decided I would write in to the magazine and see if i could get published and win some DVD's... heres what I wrote

"Buck Rogers in the 25th Century", and the name
certainly seems to suit me as I am a huge Sci-Fi fan
myself and have even been lucky enough to meet several

Now this is where weirdness ensues, today I was at home and I get a phone call from one of the women at TV WEEK saying that they had gotten my email and were really interested in my story. They are infact starting a new section in the magazine on reader's interest stories so they would like to interview me and do a whole story on me and who i've met etc. So on Monday a reporter from the mag is going to ring me and do this whole interview and everything...HOW WEIRD IS THAT!!!!!!

There are no guarantees yet that it will be published, but we will wait and see what happens!!

I cannot believe it!!! Practically the whole game they were down 0-1 and then in the last 10 minutes they score 3 times!!!!! Why oh why do they put us through it??? I'm suddenly remembering why I love my Soccer so much!!!! I'm so glad I stayed up till 1 to watch the whole match, I nearly gave in and went to bed 75 mins in, but I stuck with it and I'm so glad I did!!!

OK it is now hour 5 and there has only been one more person come through the house!!! I have been trying to find things to do I have been photocopying every bit of paper in site so that Melissa doesn't need to do it next week, I have refilled the brochure containers so they are almost overflowing, I have even gone through the house to see if things need to be straigntened up!!! But now that I've done all that I'm back to being bored again, So I started reading fan fic something I don't do very often (muldy Broken Circles is amazing!!!) and now I am looking into hotel bookings for October!!!! Oh well only two hours to go!!!!

ok so this whole work thing has turned out slightly different to what I imagined LOL, I came in on Thursday for a bit of a run through about what I would be doing and it turns out I am actually working at a display home, not only do I have to meet and greet people I actually have to show them through the house and answer their questions...if I can!!!!

So it was with great apprehension that I turned up this morning (I’ll admit I was a little nervous) and I turned off the alarms, put out the open signs and filled up the brochure holders and prepared myself for what was to come... little did I know that what was to come was sitting here. I have been here almost 2 hours and I have had 1 person come through!!!! I was all excited...and then they were gone and once again I'm sitting here!!! But hey at least I'm getting paid for it!!!!

Finally stupid jobsearch training is over!!!! I'm so glad that I never have to go back again!!! I will admit though that I did learn a lot and it definatly helped I just wish there hadn't been so many morons in the class!!!

In other news I am actually working and getting paid for it over the weekend!!! I know that sounds like a little thing but I'm just so happy to be doing something!!! So I will be working at a place called Perry Homes, they are selling home and land packages in a new estate, for the moment it is only going to be the 2 days this weekend but if I do well then it may turn into a full time job which would be awesome!!!! Canada here I come LOL!!!

In other news they have FINALLY announced more guests for October!!!! And I am so excited they are bringing over GARY JONES (aka Chevron Dude) he should be awesome, especially if we can get him drinking on the Friday night I bet he will be hilarious!!!!! The other guest they have announced is N John Smith who is an executive producer on both shows, I don't really know that much about him but I'm sure that he will have some great stories to tell about BTS scenes stuff on both shows, still bummed about the fact its not Ivon though!!!

Well I think thats my news for now, I didn't do much over the weekend and I spent the day today volunteering at the Blood Bank.

I am so glad that this stupid job search training thing is over tomorrow!!!! I am so incredibly over it!!! After the initial wk of hell we then had to complete and prove we completed 70 hours of job searching in two weeks!!!! Now I am not afraid of hard work and I really do want a job but 70 HOURS in 2 WEEKS, thats like a working week of job searching each week, and this is Taree after all there isn't even that many work places here to search at!!!! Then to top it off we had to go to follow up sessions twice a week and they have well and truly been a return to hell, all the morons asking stupid questions which they shouldn't have to ask cause we learnt it all during the first week!!!! Gah i just wanted to scream!!! So you can see why I am so glad it will all be over tomorrow!!!!!

On another note, my time in dream land about meeting Peter DeLuise only lasted about 10 hours, at which time I was knocked back to reality by Daz telling me it was not a DeLuise :( He did however say "it is a black male who was never a full time cast member on Stargate but did appear in the show and has also appeared previously in 21 Jump Street with Peter DeLuise" so we are still trying to track down who it could be (any gate fans out there reading this if you have any suggestions about who it might be please leave a comment!!!)

My dream has not yet entirely been shattered though because the other Guest who is coming could still be Ivon, at least I'm holding on to hope until I'm told otherwise LOL!!

Ok so I rather innocently decided to check the FSF website this afternoon and right there in the middle of the forum they announce...that they have another Guest for October!!! While they didn't say who it did say..."Ok, the person who we will hopefully be announcing soon is a behind the scenes staff member who has worked on both Stargate and Atlantis and will be able to provide great insight into both shows. If all goes well the auction at this event will be one any Stargate fan would not want to miss." Now while there is a LOOOOOOOOOT of people that fit this discription I am really hoping that it will be Ivon Bartok!!! I really want to meet him, and I have been begging FSF to bring him over since last October ever since he announced in his blog that he wants to come to Australia, so heres hoping they listened!!!! They also said "The third possible guest, and someone I would personally love to see, has been in so many genre shows and films over the last 20 years it is not funny, oh and of course that includes Stargate." hmmmm sounds suspiciously like a DeLuise to me!!!!! Hey I can dream!!!

I had a really good day today, even though I am totally exhausted!!! I spent the day working at the Red Cross Blood Bank, which is always enjoyable, but I was only supposed to work till 2pm however they were having trouble finding someone to work for the afternoon so I said I would stay, I ended up finishing at 7pm!!! I was so tired by the end of it because I didn't have a break at all the whole day!!! It was especially interesting because at 4pm we had a large group of New Donors come in all of whom belong to a local Hot Rod club, so there was kids running everywhere, new donors to deal with, angry regulars who couldn't believe they had to wait longer then usual, and here i am running around like a chook with her head cut off trying to do everything at once, Thank goodness I really do love it, now if only I could actually get paid for it, that would be awesome getting paid to do something I love!

Have you ever spent a surrounded by complete morons??? Well that is exactly how I spent my day today!!!!!! Unfortunatly since I have been home I haven't had much luck finding a job, so in order to continue getting government assisstance I have to complete a job search skills training course, that was fine with me its not like I have much else to do at the moment, at least I figured it would be alright...then I actually got in the room!!!! It was so bad I was ready to jump out a window!!!! Here I am in a room with 13 other job seekers, of the 14 people in the room I would say about 3 of us are actually seriously looking for jobs, the other 11 were there to ensure that they could continue to sit on their asses all day doing nothing and getting paid for it!!! It was soooo incredibly frustrating!!! When asked what our dream jobs were the answers were things like : Porn Star, Beer tester or professional gambler!!!! As I said MORONS!!!! Unfortunatly I have to keep going for the rest of this week as well as 2 days a week for the following fortnight!!!! Kill me now!!!!
